the BLADEN marriage.

What a great LIST!!
Through Dianne's help I have solved a family mystery. When I tracked back
on wedding details for James and Jane Turner, I turned up the following:
===
JAMES TURNER Male
Spouse: JANE BLADEN
Marriage: 16 JAN 1826 Eyton Upon The Weald Moors, Shropshire, England
M037441
And then for a possible birth:
JANE BLADEN Female
Christening: 24 JUN 1804 Wellington, Shropshire, England
Father: WAM BLADEN Mother: ELEANOR
C037521
======
What is AMAZING about this record is the name BLADEN.
My husband, his father, and grandfather are all called BLADEN JONES - the
explanation sometimes given was that it was "made up to sound posh" - but
that never really rang true - and now we all know better!!!! The other side
of the Jones family used the name BRAMMER JONES and that was also taken from
the in-laws side of the family so this all fits in beautifully.
I stared at the screen for what seemed like an eternity when I seen the name
BLADEN as I never thought I would ever get to the bottom of this family
history.
THANK you so much.
Fiona.
