Hello Teresa
Regarding your comment "I believe that Rock appears in the Shropshire census
at this time" can I just clarify this for you and other readers. Rock is,
and always has been so far as I am aware, in Worcestershire (WOR) but
because of the way in which the census was organised, based on the old Poor
Law Union boundaries, it is quite possible that parts of two counties could
appear on the same Piece Number such as HO.107/1985 Have a look at
http://www.catalogue.nationalarchives.gov.uk/displaycataloguedetails.asp?CAT
ID=-1552921&CATLN=7&Highlight=,ROCK,ROCK&FullDetails=False
NOTE: Make sure that the whole of the above link is on one line before you
paste it into your web browser.
I don't think your DODD family were in Shropshire in 1851 so I suggest you
have a look at Rock which is in HO.107/1985 District 355 Folios 137-187.
Mike
