John HEATH, Carpenter, 1802 - ~1875, was born in Prees, but lived in Whixall
for most of his life. He may have been the son of Samuel HEATH and Hannah
TAGG, but there is little evidence for, and no confirmation of, his
parentage.

John appears to have married twice, the first time to an Elizabeth and then
sometime in the late 1840s to Mary ?, b ~1812 in Bonsall, Derbyshire.

John had at least three children, William, John and Henry, to his first
wife, and three more, Louisa, Richard and Selina, to his second wife.

I've found the family of John HEATH and most of his descendants in census
records from 1851 to 1901; they gradually moved from Whixall to places such
as Tilstock, Prees, Wem, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, with some travelling further
afield to Manchester, Chester and Wolverhampton.

Names into which family members married include BURROWS, HUMPHREYS and
WILLIAMS.

I'd be delighted to share information with others working on this family,
and would be delighted if anyone could add to the information I have at
present.

Thanks and regards

Sarah Galbraith
