This is probably just one of those strange coincidences that occur now and
then. I guess there may not be any connection to your Ash family, but
thought it worth mentioning.

In the 1830 Pigots directory of Bridgnorth, I found the following:
TAVERNS & PUBLIC HOUSES:-
Ash, Ann Gwynn, Town end.
It is probably very unlikely that the Ash family had the licence of this
pub earlier, but then again???? Anyone who has access to earlier
directories of Bridgnorth might like to have a peep to see what they can find.
