Hi Gill
If you don't live three hours away from an LDS FH centre (as sad to say,
one of our Canadian listers does) you could obtain these registers on
microfilm through any local LDS centre. I have viewed these microfilms for
Holy Trinity Oswestry in past years at a LDS centre in my city and can say
that they are very clear, very useful. Check it out through the family
history library catalog on www.familysearch.org

It really amazes me, you know, why folk do not take more advantage of these
microfilms available through LDS FH libraries. After all, they are copies
of the originals. What better can you get than that? Rather than take the
IGI records for granted, as obviously you won't, it's a simple process of
ordering in a microfilm of either original parish registers or Bishops
transcripts which will take only a few weeks and there you have it, right
before your very own eyes, ORIGINAL writings of the vicar or the curate of
the time, with at least after 1837 the address and occupation of the
parents at baptisms, which enables you to separate two possible families of
the same name. e.g. Thomas & Mary Price shown on the IGI with children
Mary, James, John, Martha, Emma, Richard, and Sarah, christened in
consecutive dates on the IGI so that it appears that it is all the one
family, but when you access the original records you find that it is Thomas
& Mary, shoemaker, with children Mary, John, Martha and Sarah. And Thomas &
Mary, butcher, with children James, Emma and Richard with a different
address. So, two very different families, and if you had relied only upon
the IGI index you would have been absolutely and totally wrong.

Access the original records, please do, otherwise you may find yourself
linked in with the wrong family.
