Hi again Linda
I have just Googled "Janie Marden Girl in Calico" and come up with
http://www.galaxy4.co.uk/products.php?sec_id=88&page=4 where for ?10 you can
buy a copy of the Radio Times 8 - 14 October 1960 featuring on the cover a
picture of Janie Marden in Girl In Calico! There is also a better picture of
the same edition at http://www.vintagetimes.org.uk/rt/1960-10-08 Are you
impressed or are you impressed! (Just don't ask what I had for lunch, I
can't remember!)
Good hunting
John

Hello list,
I am looking for information on my cousins.
I am especially interested in finding out more about
where Janet Hillard INSTONE was born. I think she was
born Feb 23, 1934 but I don't know where.
Janet was an actress and singer. Her stage name
was Janie MARDEN.
She married Edward WHITE but I know nothing else about
him other than I'm told he was the orchestra leader
of the Bristol Orchestra.
Janet's parents were Edward ("Ted") Street INSTONE
born Feb. 2, 1901 in Broseley, Salop, and his wife
Evelyn ("Effie") Hillard GARBET born about 1900 unknown
location. I don't know if they had any other children.
When I googled Edward WHITE I found quite a bit of info
but I'm not sure it's the right person because it showed him
born in 1910 which would mean that person would have
been about 24 years older than Janet.
Does anyone know anything about them? Or can you
give me some ideas on how I can find out more?
Thank you,
Linda in California
