Who, what, when, where?
A tailor and a butcher are both skilled jobs that would have required
apprenticeships, so it's unlikely (IMO) that they could refer to the
same person but more details about the person in question would be
helpful.
Butcher and auctioneer are possible compatible jobs if he was
auctioning cattle, then butchering them.
