Oh Dear Sue :-(

The census was on 31 March 1851 and they would needed to have left the
UK towards the end of February to have arrived in S Aus by 26 May. I've
had a look through Gordon Beavington's census for Gloucester, Bristol
and the 90% he's done so far for Somerset, but I can't see any Robert
Acland/Ackland - just in case he was named after a father?

Regret that the 1841 census hasn't been indexed, except for maybe one or
two villages where someone has done it as a personal project for their
own research.

Can I assume you already have their Marriage Certificate or a Birth
Certificate for Sarah or Robert? If not there is a pretty good chance
that the Marriage Certificate would supply you with the names of the
fathers and where the event took place, amongst other things.

Regards
