Hi Joan
Census info for Somerset is available roughly as follows:
1851 complete - nearly - it will be at the end of next month
1881 yes - out on LDS CDs with the rest of England, Scotland and Wales
Almost anything else is a DIY job, either at the Somerset RO at Taunton
or at the nearest LDS FHC to where you live and where you can order the
film for a small fee, unless you are very lucky and someone happens to
have the film out at that time or it is one of the few that has already
been transcribed by someone like Sarah Hawkins who has done a number of
villages (of which I don't think South Brent is one) or someone has done
it for their own research.
I'm in the middle of trying to collate all the miscellaneous and odd
censuses that have been indexed in the Wessex Region and hope to publish
details of who holds them in the near future and I will advise the list
when this is complete - well perhaps thats being too over optimistic -
shall we say when I've included all those I am aware of :-)
Regards
Paul
