Hi Joan,
Have a look at the Somerset GenWeb Site. http://www.rootsweb.com/~engsom/ and click on "census information" in the
left hand side panel.

I have just updated this page and there are now a few more resources listed.

There is also a gentleman in Canada who has the indexes for Somerset for 1841, 1861 and 1871. It is a paid service and at the moment
I am endeavouring to find out what he has available and what his charges are. (he is not on the internet so this will be a few weeks
away)
