Have come across this in Glos.
When a vicar looked after more than one Church entries are sometimes in both
registers.
Registers were also sometimes considered the personal property, or even the
Church Diary, of the incumbent, so that if he went to another parish because
of illness or vacancy and performed weddings or baptisms, he would sometimes
put them in his own register as well.
