I too am stuck and I think it is because there are so many spellings for
Wotley.

I have Hugh Cross Wotley born about 1797 in Wells, Somerset. He was a mason.
Then the trail goes cold. I haven't found any Alberts. Hugh had chidlren
(that I know of ) Mary Ann, Sarah, John, Fanny, Ann, Elizabeth and Hugh.
Hugh married Sarah Simmons and both he and his wife appear to have
disappeared. His children are to be found on the census living with their
grandfather, Hugh senior. They could have died or moved abroad.

There are many Wotleys in Wiltshire. If you send me your details I will see
if I can connect them. Wotleys also went to Canada and USA so they did
travel
