Subject: [ENG-SOM] CABELL of North Bradley, Wilts 1700-1800

Hi All,
Just when I thought I'd sorted out my Cabell ancestors - with only one link
missing - another crowd turn up to confuse things!
Having just searched PRO 'Documents Online' for Cabell Wills I have found
four for the village of North Bradley. These ranged from 1777 to 1828.
Ann Cabbell or Cabell, Widow of North Bradley Wilts, 19 Feb 1777
Betty Cabell, Spinster of North Bradley Wilts, 10 Oct 1801
Mary Cabell, Spinster of North Bradley Wilts, 28 May 1825
Joseph Cabell, Gentleman of North Bradley Wilts, 03 Apr 1828
I would be most grateful in anyone with access to records for North Bradley
could check for any Cabell entries. I already know about Prudence Cabell
marrying Joshua Parsons (by licence) in 1754. Was Ann Cabbell (Cabell) her
mother? was Betty her sister and Mary a niece? Could Joseph have been her
nephew? Before I lash out another £12 for more wills it's these questions I
need to clarify. And if they didn't originate from here, where did they
come from?
There is a chance that Non conformity raised it's head in this family, so
where would be the place to look if they don't appear in the North Bradley
PRs?
I'm posting this query to Somerset & Wilts lists as North Bradley, Wilts.
is right next door to Road and Laverton in Somerset (in fact the Parish &
County boundaries run down the middle of one of the roads on the north side
of Road).
Any assistance would be most gratefully received.
All the best
Dave Rossiter
