I am trying to trace the family of my great-great-grandfather John
Liversuch. In the 1881 census his birthplace is given as Balsform Valley. I
can't find the place nor anyone who has heard of it. I have found some
Leversuchs in Frome Valis. Since I have no idea of the geography of
Somerset, nor the distortions to place names that might be made by the
accent I'm not sure if Frome Valis could in fact be Balsform valley. Does
anyone have any ideas?
