Hi Patricia,
I see you are researching the HOWEs of Exton.
I have Jane HOWE b.1820 Dulverton, d/o John a farmer.
The HOWEs lived in Red Door farm Exton. Jane married Thomas CLATWORTHY a
farmer and publican. The family moved to South Wales where Thomas was killed
in an accident at Morfa colliery. Some of the HOWEs moved to Cardiff but I
have no trace of them or of Jane's family.
Any connection? I remember copying some MIs in Exton churchyard and will
look for them if you are interested.
On a wider issue I have often wondered why Thomas would have moved form
rural Exton to work in the South Wales pits.
Regards,
Peter
