Thanks everyone for the contributions and I think Wendy has the answer. I've
looked again at the will copy and certainly the note is nearer to the end of
Ben's will than to the start of the following document.

That second document, however, seems to be a witness statement by a "member
of the honourable council and feudal court of fflanders" and drawn up by a
notary public. Low Dutch seems much more likely to relate to this one.

Something of a relief, really. Although I've not managed to find Ben there
is parish register evidence of a KING family in Milborne Port for at least
the previous 150 years.
