Hello Folks,

I've been spending the last few weeks working to increase my knowledge of
the various branches of the COWLIN/COWLING family, of families such as
BAKER, POOLE, HENSLEY, HURFORD, BURNELL, COURT, QUICK, REED, ORCHARD, HALE,
HOLE, HILL, etc. The COWLINs originated in Dunster, it seems, but many
gravitated towards nearby villages circa 1800, and my research of late has
been generally around the area of Timberscombe, Wootton Courtenay and
Luccombe. If anyone has any COWLIN/COWLING related data they'd like to
share, I'd be very grateful for the input. And as I seem to be spending
most of my time poring through the above three villages in the 1861 census,
I'll be happy to keep an eye open for other family names if folks would like
to let me have the relevant details off list.
