I note for example that in the 1851 census there are two or more parishes in
the "District" of Walcot: Trinity, St Swithin and possibly St Saviour, which
may be a sub-parish.

There were four divisions in the 'Mother' Parish of Walcot (1852 Map);
A. Lansdown (name of the district in modern form). This district appears to
exist as an entity only for registration (and therefore census) purposes.
B. Walcot (name of the district in modern form). This district appears to
exist as an entity only for registration (and therefore census) purposes.
C. Sion Hill. (name of the district in modern form).
D. Soper's Farm. (name of the district in modern form).
