Can anyone recommend any books or has information about the life of the
ordinary people living in Somerset during the late 17th, 18th and 19th
centuries as I wish to put 'flesh on the bones' of my Somerset ancestors who
lived in the small villages around Taunton. Their occupations varied from
ag. labs, farmers, a wreath hurdle maker- (have I transcribed that
correctly - what is a 'wreath!'), a glover and thatchers. Any little bit of
information would be welcome.
