Hello List,
I am yet another Queenslander, although I now live in Canberra. I only
joined this list a couple of weeks ago, with very little information, and
already I have received lots of leads and heard from 3 new cousins.
My interest is the WOOLLEN (Woolland / Woolan / Wollen) family of Lyng. My
mother's grandfather was Robert Woollen b 1871 at Lyng. His parents were
Alfred b 1827 and Sarah (maiden name unknown).
I don't know Robert's birth/baptism date and I would really like to find out
when he came out to Australia. He was at Lyng for the 1881 census (aged 10)
and he was married in Queensland in 1893.
Sue - last night was the first time I had ever come across the name Thirza;
and now your's was the second in 2 days.
Regards,
Peter J. Nelms
