My great great grandfather William LOCKYER was son of Edward LOCKYER Farmer. In 1851 census he gives his place of birth as Bridgewater but I believe it was nearby Chedzoy. It appears likely that his mother Ann died in childbirth but I haven't been able to find any record of William's birth or christening. It appears that later in life he adopted his stepmother's maiden name as a middle name (although corrupted to Canaford). I am unable to access Chedzoy parish records as I am in Australia. Can anyone look up or tell me how to access these records to confirm William's birth?

Edw. LOCKYER Widower m Sarah CANNOFORD 22 May 1803
at South Brents

Somerset burial index:
Ann LOCKYER buried 03 Feb 1802 at Chedzoy
Sarah LOCKYER buried 27 Nov 1818 aged 35 Chedzoy
Edward LOCKYER buried 05 Dec 1838 aged 69 at Chedzoy

Any help much appreciated.
