I have just found a possible Thomas and Elizabeth JOHNSON,plus baby Alan, in
1891 living in Woodhale, Lincolnshire. They were school master and
schoolmistress.

I will send the image off list.

Have you had a look at the Somerset Record Office website? They have some
school records.

In 1901 on RG13/2292 and schedule 35, at School House (next to the
Vicarage), in Buckland St Mary there is a Thos JOHNSON, 33, and his wife
Elizabeth, 36
(and family). He is a Schoolmaster (Elemt) and they were both born in
Worcester, Halesowen. Thus Elizabeth's year and place of birth fit my
family. I
have not yet found Elizabeth, with or without Thomas, in 1891.
