Problem solved! I had a senior moment and misread the Exmoor church which
was Lyncombe and Widcome (without the 'b'). The place I wanted was is in
Bath and I have now located it.
My thanks also to Jon, Geoff and Jim whose help is much appreciated.
Regards
Ian

Subject: [ENG-SOM] Marriage Registration Puzzle
Please can anyone think of an explanation for this? I have a copy of a
Marriage Certificate for a wedding in 1850 at Lyncombe and Widcombe Parish
Church which is on Exmoor. The Registration District for this marriage is
Bath which is over 70 miles away!
Any ideas on how this can be will be much appreciated.
Thank you
Ian Wilkins
