I cannot either.

In 2002 I visited a village Church (as you do) to go "Graveyard Tramping".
It was in WEST CRANMORE where my father's family had lived. I found a grave
or three then looked inside the Church. The War Memorial caught my eye,
along with a name. EF PRINCE.

On returning home, I checked the CWGC site and discovered that my father had
an uncle I had never heard of and who was not on my tree.

Later that year, on visiting friends in Germany, we finished our trip with a
stop-over in Cologne. (Pte FE Prince was buried in Sud Friedhof British War
Cemetery). We found his grave, paid our respects, and put a bowl of flowers
on the grave. The only family members ever to do so.

On the way back to our hotel, I remarked to my wife that I thought it was
the anniversary of his death. Having left my paperwork at the hotel, I was
unable to check until we returned.

When I did so, I said to my wife, "You will not believe this. Not only is
today the Anniversary of his death, but it is to the day, 84 years on." On
checking, I discovered it would be another 30 years before 8th October fell
on a Tuesday.
