I have been looking at the parish records - baptisms on www.southpethertoninformation.uk.org and found.................... 12Jul1809...Jean...James & Elizabeth...Pittard.

My ggg gpa was James PITTARD, born 1809 (according to his certs) to James PITTARD & Elizabeth.

Is it possible for a very kind someone to check the christian name on the original records??

Maybe there was a transcription error & it was James or the abbreviation for James or James Alfred.

That was the only birth I could find for James & Elizabeth on that site.

James married Ann WARR 1832 St Swithins, Walcott, Bath, they had 12 kids then migrated to Aus late 1850s, a monumental undertaking. <makes me feel seasick just thinking about it>.
