Hi

I was wondering if you could please give me your opinion of one other odd entry in the transcribed Winscombe records. It concerns the burial of a Simon Hares on 6 May 1832. He is shown as aged 11 but there is no corresponding baptism for him in Winscombe or the neighbouring parishes. I do have an idea that he maybe the son of Henry Hares. I did find Henry had a son Joseph in around 1824 some ten years after his wife Ann died. Joseph did not appear in the local baptism records but his origins became clear in later documents. I was wondering if the original parish entry gave any clues.

Tim
