Subject: [ENG-SFK-SAMFORD] Ok - im reduced to begging!

Hi everyone - excuse the loud thumping noise - its only me banging my head against my own personal brick wall!

I have asked this once quite a while ago and met with resounding silence and the sight of tumbleweeds but, ever optimistic (not what my other half calls it but thats another story), I shall ask once again and humbly beg answers from the great oracles (yeah yeah I know but hey it works!)

What I want to know is this:

Has anyone lost a James Whaley/Whalley born 1782/1783 - possibly in the Washbrook area?(although at this point im quite happy to expand to the entire Suffolk County im getting that desperate) - he married in 1807 in Washbrook and it stated he 'was of this parish' - am I to assume that he was definetely born in the parish or that he was living in the parish at the time and could have come from anywhere? His wife and children and future Whaley's are all documented in Washbrook but I have no record of either siblings or parents for James and I have to suspect he may be from somewhere else? His date of birth is estimated from the Death certificate and i'm not silly enough to think this is a definite year etc - i've been bitten on the butt by that one before!
His first son was named JOhn - family convention being what it is in my family tree there is a pretty reasonable chance this was his fathers name (his wifes father was Thomas so that rules that one out) - other names not accounted for by known relations are David, Sophia, Rebecca, Harriett and George - his parents names must be in their somewhere?

If any of this seems even vaguely familiar or sane to anyone out there who would like to supply me with a full family tree with alphabetical listings giving full details including photographs and/or summaries of general appearance then please feel free - then again even a vague 'well it might be I dont know but it could be our Jimmy etc etc etc' would be just as raptourously received.

Well, heres hoping! Thank you all anyway for taking the time to read this *grin*

Regards

Lyn Whaley
