Hi Mary Ann,
Iam quite new to this myself but I think Iam right in saying that their was
a Census taken in March 1801 so you could look for him on that one.
I think you are correct in assuming the place of marriage as I was once told
when asking a similar question that the marriage normaly took place in the
Parish in which the bride was born.
If anybody else reads this and finds that I have made a mistake then I
apologise and stand corrected.
