Hi Group,

I'm newbie to this group and my interest lies with the LANE family. I would like to try and find out more about my English roots and would appreciate any help.

The information I have is as follows-

Charles Henry LANE (son of William & Elizabeth LANE - nee WILLS)
b. 31. 12. 1835, Walworth, Surrey.
c. 22. 05. 1836, St. Peter, Walworth, Surrey.
m. 04. 02. 1855, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey.
d. 15. 08. 1926, Mt. Gambier, South Australia
Elizabeth Anne FOXWELL (dau. of James & Sophia FOXWELL - nee FARLEY)
b. 20. 08. 1835 (possibly London ???)
d. 8. 3. 1915, Mt. Gambier, South Australia

Charles had one known sister "Emma LANE" baptised 29. 9. 1839 at St. Peter, Walworth, Surrey, it is not known if there were other children in the family.

Charles & Elizabeth arrived in South Australia in 1855 on board the "Punjab".

As mentioned, I would appreciate any help with the LANE family prior to 1835.
