I am researching the surname PLEDGE. That is my husband's family and I know
one of his aunts was a deaf mute. They lived in Reigate Surrey County and
she attended a school for the deaf somewhere in the area. Does anyone know
of such a school and if anyone is researching PLEDGE, I'd love to hear from
them. Her name was Emily (Emmy) and she was born circa 1899. She married and
imm. to Canada and the family followed in 1919.
