I realise what was wrong now. The first line of the last chorus, which I
have changed,

Any time you're Lambeth way,
Any Evening, any day.
You'll find us all, doing the Lambeth Walk. Oi!

Every little Lambeth Pal
With a little Lambeth gal.
You'll find them all, doing the Lambeth Walk. Oi

Everything's free and easy,
Do as you darn well please-ee.
Why don't you make your way there
Go there stay there

Once you get down Lambeth Way,
Any evening, any day.
You'll find yourself doing the Lambeth Walk. Oi!

Today I finally received a copy of my 2x great grandparents marriage
certificate. It had been dispatched from the GRO on September 9'th, but
with the tragedy of September 11'th, airplanes being grounded and mail not
being carried for quite awhile, it was delayed. They both give their
address as (no street number) Lambeth Walk. The marriage took place March
20'th, 1841.
I seem to remember a song about doing the Lambeth Walk, but I don't remember
what it was about. Anybody remember it? What did it mean?
