Hello,
You don't say what these Canadian documents were. Have you seen her
marriage certificate? That should give you her maiden name, though I have
never seen a Canadian marriage certificate). It could be that LAMB was her
maiden name, because in my experience, it seems to be the custom for
researchers in the USA and possibly Canada too, to insert a woman's maiden
name (or sometimes a person's mother's maiden name) between her first name
and her surname. For a long time, I was under the mistaken impression that
my 3rd great grandmother was called "Tamar Lambert PARTRIDGE", until I
discovered that her mother's maiden name was LAMBERT, and that she herself
was called simply Tamar PARTRIDGE. On the other hand, I also have come
across people such as Robert Elsden PARTRIDGE, where the mother's maiden
name was actually given as a middle name, and appears as such on his birth
certificate.
I don't know if this helps at all.
Regards,
David Lamb (Paignton, Devon, UK)

married , which was a great family surprise. On the documents that I have
obtained from Canada his wifes name was "Hannah Lamb ALDRIDGE." I am not
sure as to whether Lamb is her maiden name or her middle name.
