If they were from different parishes they were (and are!) read in both
parish churches.

Hello,

It is late and I am tired and this is probably a silly question but
before I pop off to bed, I am going to ask it anyway. When a couple
were married by Banns were they recorded so that the Clergyman could
read from them for the 3 successive Sundays and if so, are they
available anywhere? I am trying to ascertain parentage of different
couples from the Surrey Marriage CD.

As always, any advice most welcome.
