Thank you--that also makes sense. However, much as I love the familysearch.org sites, I've found some errors there. For example, they had my ggggrandparents' marriage place as Raddington; after a lot of research, I discovered that it should have been Paddington--there was a little dohicky on the P that made it look as if it could be either, but it definitely was found to be Paddington. It took years, and someone up higher on the totem pole than me, to convince them to finally change it. I think it might be true in this case as well.
It doesn't matter to me! Just so long as I finally find them! I'm grateful to even have that small bit of information, giving me something to work off of....
Thanks for your help!
Nancy

Hi Nancy.
As the new build at Renfrew Road was not begun until 1871,opening in
1874,it does not preclude a much smaller building occupying that site in 1857.

Okay, I'm guessing that someone mistranscribed then, since this was
definitely 1857. Thanks, Paul. That helps.

As far as I am aware they are two different places, Renfrew Street not
opening
until 1871.

gave

now
I'm seeing that they say it was on Renfrew Rd. Does someone know if these
are
two different places, or is it the same one? This was in 1857.
