Hi Brenda & Michael
Thankyou for finding the info where Tower Street is does anyone know if
they are the same houses that were there in the 1881 Census?
BFN Pauline

I believe that you will find that Tower Street is now called St. James
Road, it is situated between Seaside and Latimer Road............Brenda

Hi Heather, Michael & Mark
I have just done what Heather has done & if you move up in the
neighbours to Tower Place I see 2 names I recognize the "Ocean Wave" &
"Victoria Inn" aren’t there 2 pubs there by those names? cannot remember
the street what it is called now but there are some old fisherman
cottages called Tom Thumb Cottages just off Marine Rd could this be
them? Just a guess. BFN Pauline

<PRE>Hi, my great grandfather was boarding in Tower Street in the 1881
census and I put in neighbours and I found it was near Christ Church. I
lived in Eastbourne from 1926 and i don't remember it, my Mother went to
Christ Church school and I never remember her ever mentioning it, sorry,
Heather French
