My ancestor according to the apprenticeship bindings served 7 years of his
apprenticeship but did not obtain his freedom as the master died. As the
apprenticeship is seven years I wonder why he didn't obtain his freedom &
would someone else take him on to finish it. Is it likely that the
apprentice's death is recorded as a fully trained waterman's was.
