Hi Linda, I did a Google search & found http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/christian/fairnames/ among others. There is a link for 'given names'
Jane (how common!)
Linda Fiorentino <> wrote:Hi all
Is there someone who can tell me where I could obtain information of "old"
Christian (as in first names) for the 18th & 19th centuries? I am trying to
decipher names from microfiche of records from the 1600, 1700 & 1800's, in
order to transcribe old parish records. Perhaps a list of names may help me
with the more obscure ones.
Many thanks
Cheers
