Hello again Les.

The Lancelot Langhorn at Ormside in 1851 was my ggg-grandfather. This
Lancelot, moved from Stamp Hill Farm, Kirkby Thore to Little Ormside
sometime between 1841 & 1851. It may have been that they were affected by
the Enclosure Act of 1801 or they just fancied a more sheltered spot. Who
knows?
My gg-grandfather James was also at Ormside in 1851.

As you have probably guessed the name Lancelot is pretty common in my
family & generally follows the usual naming pattern. To date I have details
of 11 of them. It is really hard trying to
remember which one is which. My dads brother I think will probably be the
last one in my family to carry that name, although I have heard that Lance
is now being used again as a boys name.
Cheers,

Dean Charles Langhorn.
