Subject: Update to Westmorland Genuki site

Hi gang
Just to let you know that I've made some major changes to the website:
http://www.love-lane.freeserve.co.uk/genuki/WES/
They are mainly to the home-page but I've also added a page of IGI batch
numbers compiled by 'Jake' and amended a few parish pages.
The homepage has quite a few links added e.g. to the familysearch site, and
tried to bring it more up to date (in this ever more rapidly changing
field). I have also added to some of the text. Because of the increase in
length I have separated the parish listing and oput it onto a separate page.
But the biggest change is the insertion of a search option for placenames
(look under Gazetters) based on 1891 census. This complements the Online
Parish Locator which is also linked to. Not only are these the obvious
starting points for locating parishes or their constituent townships, but
they link to the corresponding Genuki parish pages. And the Locator also
identifies other parishes with a certain radius (say 10 miles). So if your
ancestor was not baptised in the parish you first tried, you can get a list
of the next parishes to try.
Give it a go. What do you think?
Also let me have ideas (and material!) for inclusion. I am going on holiday
for a week, but I'll be having another go when I get back.
Regards
Dave
