Family History magazine No 11 August 1996 has an article about the
name KENDALL


its says "Kendall a Cumbrian surname" and that "the majority of
Kendall surnames are derived from Kendal in Cumbria". However it also
states that in a few instances the namees comes from Kendale near
Driffield in Yorkshire.
