Dear listers,

I have recently returned from the Kendal RO.

Whilst doing some research in the Thrimby marriages index, I came across a
name I did not know about.
Unfortunately I forgot to write down the wife's name.

The name I came across was a Tom Scott WAITING married in 1945.

It was a marriage by licence and was on a separate page towards the back.

Could some SKS next time they visit Kendal RO help me out with the spouses
name.

I have checked the GRO in London, for a record but it does not show up.

Can anyone suggest why this marriage was listed separately, I'm not quite
sure, why by licence is of any consequence, or the only one, especially as
it isn't listed in London.
