Hello everyone,

I am repeating an earlier email for the benefit of new subscribers.
Westmoreland is a new area to me and only as a result of a search that
produced the following information from an entry called:

PRINCIPAL INHABITANTS OF CUMBERLAND AND WESTMORLAND 1829

JARMAINE Wm surveyor in customs Bowness Hall Bowness

My family were based in Oxfordshire at this time generally and were
mainly agricultural labourers. William is a recurring name for the
family though. Does anyone have any information on this chap?
