I have Dockers in Newby, Westmoreland in the early to late l800's. Does
anyone else?

Would anyone be willing to take picture of a house for me? it is in Newby.

Docker descendant

Allied names: Mary Ann Davidson, a Scottish woman, married my ancestor,
William Docker,

His father was Thomas Docker, b Dec. 25, 1804 in Bampton. Thomas died at
(can't read the typing) (is it Midtown?) on Aug. 23, l804. He m. Elizabeth
Smith of (can't see it --is it King's Seaburn or Neaburn?) and the had two
sons: robert who died in childhood and my William (above). [Elizabeth
Smith was b in l805, I believe, and was the daughter of John Smith and
Margaret Smith. Does anyone have their history?] William had a family of
l3 children, eleven of whom were born at Newby and two abroad. His
daughter, Agnes Docker, was b l870 and was my great grand mother. She m.
George Washington Jackson of Montgomery Co., IA.

There was a John Docker of (L?)ongill and a Mr. Rowley of (M?)arland? who
purchased the house and eleven acres. Would anyone know where this home is
now?

Does anyone have the census of l851? Does it mention anything about a John
Docker or his family?

Would anyone in this area of England be willing to search the library for a
Docker or Smith history? If not, could someone tell me the email address or
the snail mail address of this a local library?

I would appreciate any help someone could give me. Thank you in advance.
