Hi Allen - I wish all my problems were so easy .:-)) James Braithwaite of
Garsdale and Isabell Blades of Dent were married on July 6 1735 at Dent.
Luckily they were married by licence but sadly that does not tell us their
ages as it often does. It does say that they were both in widowhood so a
first marriage will have to be found. I have copies of the
Garsdale/Sedbergh and Dent Registers so I will investigate further later.
As for Nelsons - Garsdale at that time was awash with them which can
make them tricky to sort out however I will do what I can and will write
further offlist. There were some other children born before Nelson & I
think that James lived at a farm called Pryhill in Garsdale - Oh and he was
a Yeoman which meant that he was a farmer & probably owned his own land &
house.
