hi Heather.........what emigration did!!!! no one of my ancestors left
lancashire-westmoreland til my parents went to tasmania........... little
evidence for starting this task but i have found 6 of my great
grandparents.......... no 7 violet smith (nee howarth) is missing from home
census noith but not dead.......... her father charles howarth of
ROCHDALE..63 in 1901 is n the house with my great grandfather and 2 of the
3 chn........the only info i have
the other is Alice Willan of Overtown who married lawrence
hewitt............ they lived all over westmorleand as their 8 chn's births
attest........ in ingleton in 1891 (32 in 1891 and bentham 1901
(48)......... she aged 16 yeras in 10 according to the
census...........which willan was she????
