Just joined the Wiltshire list
I have been at this brickwall for a couple of years now! Here's hoping some-one can help.
I have a Joseph HANCOCK who was buried in St. Mary's Marlborough in 1790 as was his wife Ann.
They had 5 children, Joseph, Benjamin, Ann John and Thomas Merriman. The first child was born in 1755. All the children were baptised in the Lower Meeting House in Newbury but I have been unable to find any further trace of them there.
I have never been able to find the marriage of Joseph and Ann, who came from Marlborough. Is there any one else on this list who may be researching HANCOCK in Wiltshire that may possibly have any connection to "my" HANCOCK family.
