I am trying to find out anything that I can about my 3rd great grandfather
William Wall born 1791.

The 1841 English census has him and his family in Slaughterford, Wiltshire
as follows:

William Wall age 50 Employment Ag, Lab. Born in Wiltshire Co. NO
Elizabeth Wall age 55 Do Born in Wiltshire Co
Yes
William Wall age 19 Ag. Lab Born in Wiltshire
Co. Yes
Thomas Wall age 15 Do Born in Wiltshire
Co. Yes
Richard Wall age 10 Do Born in Wiltshire
Co. Yes (Biddestone)

His son Richard Wall (my 2nd great grandfather) then aged 10 moved to
Breconshire, Wales to work as an iron miner. He married Naomi Stephens there with
the following children Mary Jane Wall, b. 1855, William Thomas Wall b. 1857
(he is my great grandfather) and Elizabeth 2 b. 1859 according to the 1861
Welsh census.

William Thomas Wall married Elizabeth Truscott circa 1878 and had the
following children Naomi Wall b. circa 1879, Thomas Richard (Uncle Dick Wall) b.
circa 1871 and Alban Wall ( my grandfather) b. July 1884. They all immigrated
to the Nanticoke, PA area except Naomi who had remarried a William Leek and
immigrated to Ontario, Canada. They worked in the coal fields of north
eastern Pennsylvania.

Any help at all would be very helpful and very appreciated. I am very
curious if this Wall surname is English or Irish.

Thanks and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Janet
