In 1841 he is there as George RIKER, 50, Tiler, Back Hill.

I have three Georges none of them the one you mention, but this is the
closest in 1851 he is listed as a "Hospital Burgess"!!
I can't find him in the 41 but in 1842 he is in the county directory on Back
Hill.
