Subject: [WISBECH] On the trail of my MARKHAM family

Hi all

I'm on the trail of my MARKHAM family. After initially finding records of
this family at Sutton St. Edmund, LIN and possibly Thorney, I now have found
evidence of this family settling at Walsoken. I believe that I have found
the burials of Amy's parents in the Archdeacon's Transcripts for Walsoken.
To give a run down of what I know:

My ancestor Amy MARKHAM was baptised. 1769 at Sutton St. Edmund, LIN, the
daughter of Robert and Elizabeth.

The burials that I have found for Walsoken are:

3 DEC 1785, Robert MARKHAM, Farmer
18 JAN 1792, Elizabeth MARKHAM, Widow / Farmer

Considering that Amy married William Frusher in 1793 at Walsoken, I believe
I have found the burials for her parents.

I have been in contact with a person who has an interested in Joseph MARKHAM
(born 1770 ?) who married Alice ?. This couple have several children
baptised at Walsoken (1794-1798) and Wiggenhall St. Mary the Virgin
(1802-1804) before settling at Terrington. I believe that he is the brother
of my ancestor Amy, because he as well as some of his sons were farmers of
hundreds of acres. I would believe that Joseph was born in CAM or LIN.

Both Robert and Elizabeth MARKHAM should have made Wills. Where to find them
I don't know. Even after 7 years of having copies of quite a few probates
for FRUSHER, I still do not know how to find them in the Probate records!
