Hello Listers

I am sending this message to a couple of lists so please accept my apologies
if you get this more than once.

On the 1851 census for Littleport my 4x Gt Grandmother, Ann HOVEL or HOVELL,
states that she was born in Denver in 1767. However, I can find no baptism
for her in Denver although some of the families who did baptise children
there around that time certainly look as if they are related to her even if
they can't claim her as their own.

My only conclusion is she was baptised somewhere close by and grew up in
Denver. Does anyone have access to the records of Downham Market please? Or
of any other nearby parishes?

Or does anyone have Hovell in their family and could shed some light on my
Ann's origins? Her children's names were William, John, James, Jonathan,
Elizabeth, Philip, Thomas & Henry.

Any help would be gratefully received.
